Walking in the Light

Prayer Cards – Each morning our teachers meet for devotions as we prepare for our day. We also regularly pray for our students. The students we will be praying for after Christmas break will be: Andrew Meyer (7th) and Stormigale Burke (3rd).

Christmas Thanks – The teachers and staff would like to thank all of those who remembered them in special ways this Christmas. Some of the best gifts were just simply telling the teachers that what they do is special and appreciated. A special thanks to the PTL who gave special treats to the teachers and staff. Also, many thanks to the PTL for the gift cards that were given to the principal, secretary, cooks, custodian, bookkeeper, choir directors, Pastor Adams, Mr. Henry, Mrs. Brown (tutor), and to the teachers aides in Preschool!

Direct TV Offer - **** Don’t go out and order Direct TV just to help us out!!! They called the other day and asked if I wanted to sign up for this program. I said yes, but I wasn’t going to ask parents to sign up unless they were already planning to do that. If you are planning to make the switch over to Direct TV in the future or are just renewing your policy for another period of time, then I would ask if you would please use our code # LJ64. We will receive $100 for each new contract or renewed contract from anyone across the country, so if you know of anyone else thinking about Direct TV, please pass our code # on to them. **** Don’t go out and order Direct TV just to help us out!!!

Painting Help – On Tuesday, December 26th, I’m going to be doing a little painting in the hallways to clean up some of the marks that have accumulated over the years. If anyone is free in the morning from about 9:00 – 11:00 and would like to stop in and help, it will go much quicker. If you have left over Christmas cookies that might make the work go a little quicker as well.

DECEMBER 23 THROUGH JANUARY 2 – CHRISTMAS BREAK

JANUARY       3 – SCHOOL RESUMES FOR WLS AND EACS

Away in a manger, no crib for a bed,

The little Lord Jesus laid down His sweet head.

The stars in the bright sky looked down where He lay,

The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay.

The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes,

But little Lord Jesus, no crying He makes.

I love Thee, Lord Jesus! Look down from the sky,

And stay by my side until morning is nigh.
