WLS Informational Meeting – Now that we have announced our planned changes for the 2009 – 2010 school year, you may want to come to our informational meeting to see just how we are planning for next school year. The meeting will take place in the library beginning at 7:00 on Monday, April 13^th.

Registration Continues – Our WLS registration is continuing for next school year for grades Preschool to 6^th grade. Stop in the office for any forms or information that you may need.

Planned Late Arrival – Next Thursday, April 16^th, will be the last of the planned 2 hour late arrival mornings for this year. Buses will also be running 2 hours late.

Happy Easter – We wish everyone a happy Easter this coming weekend. If you do not have a church home, please check out the special Holy Week services at both Christ and Zion and plan on attending one of the special services as a family. What a blessed time of year and the reason that we exist as a Lutheran school in this community.

Track Meets Begin – Our first WLS track meet will take place next Tuesday, April 14^th, at the Concordia Seminary track. Meets begin at 4:15 if you would like to come and watch the action.

Chapel Invitation – Next Wednesday’s chapel service will take place at Zion Lutheran Church beginning about 8:20. Twice a year we try to make the trip out to Zion Lutheran Church for chapel services. Everyone is invited to join us.

Annual Association Meeting -  The next scheduled meeting will be held on May 31^st at 4:00 pm.

WLS Golf Outing at Cedar Creek Golf Club -  Everyone is getting ready for the warm weather, and we’re setting the date for the annual Golf Outing!  It will take place on Sunday, July 19^th, so mark the date on your calendar.  More information will follow at a later date.

Spring Flower Sales -  Our annual Spring Plant Sale has begun as a fundraiser for WLS.  We are selling scrips to purchase flowers and plants at discounted prices from the Greenhouse Effect, which is located just across the state line – a quick 10 minute drive.  We’re pleased to be able to reduce our prices this year, thanks to our friends at the Greenhouse Effect.   If you need additional order forms click here, stop in the office or call and we can send one home.   For any questions, call Susan Gerig or Deb Lindberg.

 Thank you to Mr. Hoyer, Mr. Staub, Mrs. Staub, Mrs. Schlie, and Mrs. Schroeder, for helping with the Zion Lenten skits.  It was a blessing having you.

Mark your calendars for May 1^st -  Pastor J. Brown will be presenting a Karate Demonstration, Motivational Message, and Gospel Presentation through Breaking Barriers – Christian Martial Arts Ministry.  Everyone (students, youth, parents, grandparents, neighbors, etc…) is invited and it will be held at WLS gym.  Presentation is from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, but come early to enjoy the playground and basketball court if it is nice out.  To learn more about Pastor J. Chapel News -  Next Wednesday’s chapel service, April 15^th, will be held at Zion Lutheran Church at 8:20 a.m. Pastor Adams will lead.  Chapel offerings for the months of April and May will be designated to Camp Lutherhaven.
