Financial Aid

Tuition Assistance Program
WLS understands that some families may be unable to meet the full financial obligations of tuition. Tuition Assistance monies are available for Preschool families, through the Caitlyn Pyle Memorial Scholarship fund, and for Grades K-6 through a tuition assistance account, funded primarily by Christ and Zion Lutheran churches. All PS-Grade 6 parents interested in applying for Tuition Assistance must complete and mail a Private School Aid Service (PSAS) form along with the required non-refundable fee by the set date. PSAS forms are available in the school office.

Once the application is mailed to PSAS, WLS has set forth the following procedures to enable PSAS to administer the plan appropriately.

The Tuition Assistance Program guidelines:

  • A confidential application must be completed and mailed to the PSAS, along with documentation of the reported financial situation, as instructed on the PSAS application.
  • PSAS reviews the application confidentially. This service will determine the amount the family is entitled and provide WLS with such recommendation.
  • After all charges from the preceding school year have been paid, the WLS Board of Education will credit the amount of assistance granted to the family’s account from the available funds.
  • Tuition Assistance will not be considered for the Education Materials Fee (EMF) portion of total tuition.
